Disability in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities is twice as prevalent, more complex, and compressed within a shorter life expectancy when compared to other Australians.

The United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disability to be held in Geneva this September, was established to address the discrimination and inequality of people with disability worldwide. First Peoples Disability Network Australia (FPDN) will send a delegation to the Convention, to present their valuable community-led research.
