COVID Rules and restrictions in NSW

The NSW government has decided that we need to get on with living with COVID. Some of the rules in NSW for vaccinated and unvaccinated mob have relaxed, but COVID is still around.

Face masks

It’s a good idea to keep wearing your mask down the shops and other crowded places. In some places its still part of the rules.

Everyone 12 years and older must wear a face mask

  • on the bus, train, in a taxi or Uber
  • in airports or on a plane
  • in hospitals or at the doctors
  • in residential care places

Your boss will tell you if you need a mask at work.

Masks are a good idea in places where there are a lot of people and you cannot physically distance.

Learn more about face mask rules

Aunty June Says There is a lot of COVID spreading around right now. Facemasks can help to protect you from COVID but you gotta wear them proper over your nose and mouth! Don’t forget to keep your distance and wash them hands.

You can read more about the new rules here

Visiting your mob

If you are having mob over to your place, sitting outside in the fresh air can help stop the spread of COVID.

To keep Elders and mob with disability safe give them a call to check it’s ok before you visit. You can also ask if they need anything down the shop first.

If you are visiting Elders or mob with disability in a care facility you will need to check the rules for visitors before you go.

Aunty June Says If you’re feeling a bit crook it’s a good idea to stay home.
