NuunaRon is a group for Aboriginal and Torres Strait artists and emerging artists living with disability.

The name NuunaRon is used in memory of and out of respect for two of our Elders. Aunty Nuuna was a saltwater Noonuccal woman from Stradbroke and Uncle Ron was a Kamilaroi man. Both were beautiful artists who lived with disability, and made a valuable contribution by supporting others living with disability. Both have crossed over to the Dreaming and they are sadly missed by family and friends.

The NuunaRon group provides a safe space for people to share stories of resilience and keeping strong via yarning, painting and creating art.

The group is supported by the E.L.D.A group (Elders Living With Disability Australia) who have representatives from Torres Strait, Far North Queensland, north east Queensland , NSW, South Australia and the Northern Territory.

This group is a welcoming, respectful and supportive place. We welcome your input.
