Our Training Solutions

FPDN delivers culturally embedded training that is focused on delivering capacity building
opportunities and educational resources for First Nations community members living with disabilities, their families, and communities. Training is also provided to upskill stakeholder organisations to help them work with, and alongside First Nations people with disabilities.

Uncle Lester Bostock “Know Your Human Rights” Training

The Uncle Lester Bostock ‘Know Your Human Rights’ Training package provides communities with knowledge of human rights and how to use them when they need to advocate for themselves and others. It is a yarning-based approach to create systemic change within the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities across Australia

Walking Together Training

Walking Together is a free 2-hour training designed for ACCHOs working with mob with disability who want to deepen their disability competency, strengthen disability rights‑based practice, and walk alongside mob with disability and their families in ways that honour culture, rights, and community. ACCHOs are already culturally strong, this training builds on that strength by supporting our workforce to confidently navigate disability, inclusion, and the systems that sit around our people.
