Royal Commission Forums

A Royal Commission is an investigation, independent of government, into a matter of great importance. Royal Commissions make recommendations to government about what should change. The Disability Royal Commission was established in April 2019 in response to community concern about widespread reports of violence against, and the neglect, abuse and exploitation of, people with disability. The Disability Royal Commission gathers information through research, public hearings, the personal experiences people tell us about and submissions, private sessions, and other forum While community forums and hearings are currently not being conducted due to COVID-19, there are many ways you can share your story. FPDN has more information about the Disability Royal Commission here, including how to make a submission. You can also find more information on the government’s Disability Royal Commission Website Please post any general questions you have here, or check out our other topics.
