The Disability Advisory Network (QLD) is a network of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders living with disability in Queensland. The Network helps build resilience (keeping strong) by providing opportunities for members to connect to community and culture through art and the traditional practice of yarning.

Wallin Giiny Art Project

For Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders living with disability

Wallin Giiny is an from the language of the Wiradjuri People meaning strong heart and is pronounced wallin Gn.
The purpose of the Wallin Giiny art project is to create a soft access point that is a culturally safe environment, where Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander living with a disability or mental health issue and their carers can gather and share information and stories, connect to community , and be provided access to resilience based models of supports, that help both individuals and families keep strong in the key areas of their lives.
